Poor Magical Goat!

Police in Nigeria are holding a goat on suspicion of attempted armed robbery.

A group of vigilante men took the black and white beast to the police saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into a goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a car.

A police spokesperson confirms the goat is in custody and that they won't be basing their case on the mystical transformation.

Cat's out of the Bag!

Two Sundays ago was our first Sunday back at our church after Christmas. I stayed home because I was not feeling well. About 10:15 ish, I got a phone call from my dear, sweet husband. I picked up the phone and his first words were, "I think I made a mistake!" He began to tell me that he was on stage a church and the music minister asked him what his favorite thing he got for Christmas was. He said "a baby!" Then he said "oops, I don't think that I was supposed to say that yet! No one say anything!" Needless to say, out of the 300ish people that heard that, a few told! So, here I am announcing it to the blogging world... we are having a baby! It is due August 19th or 20th. I guess you could say that the "baby is out of the bag" or maybe "the baby beans have been spilled!"

All I want for Christmas!

I love hearing stories about children at Christmas. A loan officer at work, Greg, has a 4 year old daughter, Sarah, that has an interesting Christmas Wish List this year! She wants a fish in a bowl, her own lipstick, an imaginary dinosaur, and an alarm clock! Greg told us that he was going to wrap an empty box and when she opens it, he is going to fall on the ground saying "Sarah! Get your dinosaur off of me!" Oh, to be a fly on the wall that day! I think it is going to be a hoot!

Santa Sighting

This past weekend was our Christmas program at Church. It basically consists of 70 adults squished into a gigantic riser system that is made to look like a Christmas tree! Oh, the merriment! Anyway, the first row gets to sit. I was conveniently placed on the second row! (No sitting for me!) The man that sat directly in front of me is a Santa Clause Look-A-Like/Mail Man. The children's choir filed on stage and joined us in the fun for a song. As they were filing back off stage, the tiny little girl that brought up the back end of the line was walking backwards looking at Mr. Mail Man, waving frantically and quietly yelling "Santa....Santa"! It was precious! Mr. Mail Man later told us a story of one day on his route, he was delivering mail in a cul-de-sac and saw a couple of little girls run into their house. As he rounded the street, there they were standing on the sidewalk with milk and cookies! Oh, the things this man has encountered! Maybe I can somehow make myself to look like...say...Cindy Crawford and see what kind of attention I get! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
